the walls in life are curling in starlight
my mortar and whicker
and timber and solder
my times are strange and feeble
they crumble
now, what to do?
I'll wander off and strip in the shadows
I'll rise in the rain and drink from the river
I'll feel foreign in the woodland in silence
... and nary a soul shall tell my tale

Invisible Oranges had it right calling this record "shimmering." Light glinting off the leaves of the Appalachian foothills suffuses this record. Great songwriting that keeps you engaged even in repeating verses, and emotional chord choices that invoke that special, yearning kind of good melancholy. And kudos to the synth/keyboard work for being right on point, fleshing out the sound without taking over and getting corny. pinkytheent
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
Italian stoner powerhouse Tenebra has the heft of Sabbath and the hooks of Saint Vitus in their powerfully imposing tunes. Bandcamp New & Notable May 8, 2022

For some reason, what I previewed and the real songs was somewhat different - maybe because of the cover art?
But I definitely don't regret something more spacial than expected. The recent Ocean drifting in space. frankwurst
