Ice fills cracks, force not
time breeds
chaos heart
burst, bleed, humble rot
feast the dead canary!
split life, ego, lust
the pulse of dissonance drips and freezes
ice fills cracks
time breeds chaos in purest hearts...
bound man
flow by
this strand
cling life
(rust in the sunset, rust in the sunset...)
home in the west wind
ventilated oxygen
blue eyes of mine
blue skies of mine
are waiting now... waiting now
blue skies of mine
thunder inside
waiting now... waiting to feel the sun
heartbeat
solar wind
cast off sirens
A summer day in this frigid metal hold
One hundred suns glaze light on the console, cold
Penelope, I can see you in our home
Worlds away, but with me in the unknown
Invisible Oranges had it right calling this record "shimmering." Light glinting off the leaves of the Appalachian foothills suffuses this record. Great songwriting that keeps you engaged even in repeating verses, and emotional chord choices that invoke that special, yearning kind of good melancholy. And kudos to the synth/keyboard work for being right on point, fleshing out the sound without taking over and getting corny. pinkytheent
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
Italian stoner powerhouse Tenebra has the heft of Sabbath and the hooks of Saint Vitus in their powerfully imposing tunes. Bandcamp New & Notable May 8, 2022
For some reason, what I previewed and the real songs was somewhat different - maybe because of the cover art?
But I definitely don't regret something more spacial than expected. The recent Ocean drifting in space. frankwurst
